Stuffed rolls with butter topping, mustard and honey

Good Morning!!

Are you looking for a quick suggestion for the afternoon snack👩🏻‍🍳? How about taking a look at this super easy rolls recipe.

Why is it easy and fast? Because you don't need to knead the dough. The time you need to wait is only that of the growth of the dough, which on these cold days🥶 takes a little more time. But don't worry, as we can accelerate this growth. Just turn on the oven at minimum temperature for 5 minutes, turn off and then put the dough inside the oven. She'll grow up real fast.

See how easy it is? No discouragement☺.

Here three options: watch the video, see the step by step, or go straight to the recipe in full, however, in the step by step, I usually give some suggestions and substitutions. I know that sometimes it is dull to watch videos and step by step, especially those who have good notions of cooking, but anyway, you have the option to choose the way that best fits your profile.

Step by step:

Let's start with the filling. You only need to join all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and set aside.

This filling is quite democratic, since you will can use the ingredients of your preference: mozzarella, ham, turkey breast, tomatoes (without seeds) sliced.

The fresh cheese cream, also optional, but can be replaced by ricotta cream.

In the case of capers, they can be replaced with olives.

For the topping just put all the ingredients in the pan and stir until the sugar dissolves. I know poppy seeds are a little hard to find, but you can replace them with sesame seeds, or even leave without.

Let's go the dough, which is quite easy.

In a bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in hot water. Cover with film Paper and let it act until the mixture becomes frothy.

In another bowl put flour, olive oil and salt. Mix.

Gradually put the yeast mixture over the dry ingredients and mix.

If it is sticky, add more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time. Brush with olive oil, cover with film paper and let rise until double in volume.

Add more or less amount of water depends on the flour you are using, for this reason, add more or less water and/or flour, always one spoon at a time.

Once the dough has risen place on a floured work surface and work for a few minutes.

Divide it into two portions, opening it with the roller pin, in a rectangle approximately 34 cm x 22 cm. You do not necessarily need to divide the dough, but it becomes easier to work by dividing it into two portions.

Spread the filling over the surface leaving a space on the edges.

Carefully roll forming a roll

Cut into equal portions (4 cm approx.). Here also you will be able to choose the desired size.

Turn the portions with the filling upwards and press lightly with the palm of your hands so that they are flattened.

Place on a baking sheet lined with Premium paper, keeping distance between them. I do not recommend the use of parchment paper, because when putting the topping the bread will be fully attached to the paper, then use Premium paper.

Brush the buns with the topping and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. The oven time will depend on the size you made the rolls and the temperature of your oven.

Ready, it's a delight, the taste of the filling with the turkey breast and the capers marries perfectly with the lightly sweetened topping of honey and brown sugar with the slight acidity of mustard.
